Although his team has struggled, Colorado guard Thomas Akyazili has enjoyed a solid start to the U20 European Championships.

Making his second consecutive appearance with Belgium's U20 national team, Akyazili struggled from the field in his team's opener Saturday against Sweden, going 2-for-10 as Belgium struggled overall by shooting 27 percent in a 60-53 loss. However, Akyazili knocked down all four of his free throws to finish with eight points. He also added five rebounds, four steals, and three assists.

The sophomore guard put together a similar stat line in Sunday's 89-64 loss against Italy, finishing with nine points and four rebounds in 24 minutes.

Akyazili and the Belgian U20 national team continues play on Tuesday against the Czech Republic at 11:45 a.m. MDT.
