MacIntyre said once again on Tuesday that defensive tackle Josh Tupou will rejoin the program this next season.
"He should be here this summer," MacIntyre said.
The 6-foot-3, 325-pound Tupou was a three-year starter at defensive tackle for the Buffs from 2012-14, but was suspended from school, and therefore the team, last summer after an off-the-field incident in February 2015.
Tupou received All-Pac-12 honorable mention in 2014, and he is expected to become CU's starting nose guard in the Buffs' 3-4 defense this season.
"To me, he's a pro nose guard," MacIntyre said. "He's perfect for a 3-4 defense and he'll be a big key for our defense."
MacIntyre said he sees "more drive, more attention to detail" by his players this offseason, as they try to turn the tide and end a 10-year string of losing seasons. ... The Buffs report for fall camp on Aug. 3.
