Colorado coach Jon Embree managed to earn a commitment from a defensive lineman from Texas over the weekend despite the Buffs struggles on the football field.

Marcus Loud, a defensive end from Wheatley High School in the Houston area, gave Embree an oral commitment after visiting the school this weekend and watching the Buffs lose 42-14 to UCLA, reported.

Loud is the 14th player to commit to Embree in the 2013 cycle and the first defensive lineman. Loud is a 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect Rivals rates with three stars.

"It was lovely, couldn't be any better," Loud told Rivals about his visit. "It was everything I heard about and saw in the pictures. I arrived on Friday morning and I got a chance to meet some of the players, see what it is like with them. I really liked the team chemistry. It is like a big family with them."

Loud originally committed to Missouri but had a change of heart about the Tigers. He also had scholarship offers from programs such as Michigan State, Houston, Mississippi State, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Wake Forest and TCU.
