Colorado football coaches added another commitment from a recruit who plays defense, but this time it wasn't a defensive lineman.

Marques Mosley became the 22nd member of the CU class when he pledged to CU coaches Monday night. Mosley is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound cornerback from Upland High School in Upland, Calif. His teammate, running back Donta Abron, previously committed to CU and a third Upland player, fullback Christian Powell, is considering CU. All three players visited Boulder earlier this month.

Mosley is the first cornerback recruit in the 2012 class, but he won't be the last. CU coach Jon Embree said he hoped to sign three or four cornerbacks in the class.

Embree has added seven new commitments this month, and five of them have been defensive linemen.

Scout.com now ranks Colorado's class No. 27 in the nation and third best in the Pac-12, trailing only Oregon and UCLA. The Buffs are one of only three programs in the conference not to have a commitment from a four- or five-star player.
