New Colorado football coach Jon Embree landed another commitment on Saturday -- wide receiver Nelson Spruce out of Westlake Village, Calif. -- according to Scout.com.
Spruce caught 73 passes for 1,292 yards and 18 touchdowns during his senior season. He also notched 31 tackles and three interceptions on defense.
Spruce, who is listed at 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, is rated a three-star recruit. He is the first wide receiver in CU's 2011 class that will sign letters of intent in February.
So far there are five recruits committed to the Buffs.
