Buffs coach Nicole Kenneally benched No. 1 singles player Monica Milewski and No. 3 Camila Belassi, but would not disclose the reason for the discipline. The pair also teams up for doubles, adding to the Buffs` woes.
Nebraska cruised to victory, sweeping the three doubles spots and winning five of six singles matches in straight sets.
The Huskers improved to 11-1 overall, while CU`s four-match win streak was snapped and the Buffs fell to 7-4. Friday`s match was the first Big 12 competition of the spring for both teams.
CU will try again for its first conference win of the season Sunday at Iowa State. CU did not say whether Milewski and Belassi will be back in the lineup by then.
