Moten came to Boulder last summer and was preparing to begin fall camp with the Buffs when he said the school denied him admission because of what was deemed to be an irregularity with a score on his college entrance exams.
Moten said he took the test again and received a similar score and the school sent him an acceptance letter about 10 days ago.
"I`m really excited," he said. "I`m happy it`s over and I can get up there and help my teammates."
Moten said he is aware of speculation about the future of the coaching staff that recruited him to CU last year out of Narbonne High School in Harbor City, Calif. He said he hopes coach Dan Hawkins and his staff will be in Boulder to coach him when he arrives, but he plans to be a Buff regardless of who the coach is. Hawkins has promised Moten an opportunity to play quarterback at the college level, which is one of the key reasons Moten decided to attend CU.
"I don`t know how that will affect me playing quarterback," Moten said of a possible coaching change. "What I`m focused on is getting up there and doing whatever I can do to help my team win."
