Tad Boyle and the Colorado Buffaloes got their big man.

On Tuesday night, Arvada West forward Dallas Walton announced on Twitter that he has given a verbal commitment to play basketball at CU next year.

"Truly blessed through this whole process," Walton posted on Instagram and Twitter. "From the comeback from injuries to the countless hours spent trying to get to this point. Well I have more hours of work to put in because I have committed to continue my academic and basketball career at the University of Colorado .Looks like I'll be turning it up at CU next year!"

Walton, who is 7-feet, 225 pounds, tore the ACL in his left knee as a sophomore and then tore the same ACL months later. He has rebounded nicely this year, though, averaging 16.6 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.8 blocks for Arvada West.

Despite his injury history, CU likes Walton's potential. He could be a hidden gem in the 2016 recruiting class and he fills a need. CU had been trying to land a big man for this year's class to replace departing senior Josh Scott.

Walton joins a CU class that includes guards Deleon Brown (Wolfeboro, N.H.) and Bryce Peters (La Verne, Calif).
