Film rat

Britney Blythe, who has a good chance at earning the starting job at point guard, has made a big impression on coach Kathy McConnell-Miller with her preparation.
McConnell-Miller said the freshman from San Mateo, Calif., has been a regular in her office to watch film and talk basketball.
Once, Blythe came to McConnell-Miller’s office the day before a practice to ask the staff which drills the team would be doing the next day so she could prepare.
She didn’t want to be standing on the sidelines during practice watching the rest of the team doing the drill, trying to figure out what was her job.
“The most important thing at this level is film,” Blythe said. “As a freshman coming in, I have so much to learn. The best way to got ahead is to ask questions and watch film.”
