Tech lacking star power here

Posted July 21, 2008

Texas Tech coach Mike Leach is notorious for funny quotes but also for sheltering his star players from the media. He explained his decision not to bring starting quarterback Graham Harrell and sophomore wide receiver Michael Crabtree here this way.

"Harrell and Crabtree get a lot of attention, deserve a lot of attention and will continue to get a lot of attention and the important thing to us and our team is the fact that football is the ultimate team game," Leach said.

Leach went on to say that he brought receiver Eric Morris and defensive backs Jamar Wall and Daniel Charbonnet because he believes they are emerging ass team leaders.

Guess I can buy that, but I still would like the opportunity to talk to two players like Harrell and Crabtree who could be in the Heisman Trophy race this season.

...Leach went to Europe this summer with his family and said he ran into a few Texas Tech fans who recognized him. The family visited France, England, Scotland and Ireland.

"We covered a lot of ground and it was kind of a sensory-overload deal," he said.

Watch out, Rs might read this and blast your spelling and discredit you. Very funny though.

Actually ginsoaked, ask Rs and tall about how to get on the TT a** team. I think they're on scholarship.
