Bobby Bowden up past his bedtime

After listening to Florida State coach Bobby Bowden on the Atlantic Coast Conference coaches' teleconference this morning, I came away impressed with the 77-yeaar-old's ability to recall details from games played 30 years ago.
But I don't know what I think about the fact that he says he goes to bed at 7:30 each night.
Folks, he's on Eastern time. Saturday's game in Boulder doesn't start until 8:10 p.m. Mountain time. That means Bowden is going to be starting to coach a football game 21/2 hours after he's used to being asleep.
Coaching advantage goes to Dan Hawkins here by default. Somebody might have to wake Bobby up to ask if the Seminoles should go for it or punt on fourth downs.
At least he has a sense of humor about it. Someone asked him about the late start and he said he couldn't remember a specific game in his career that started as late as this one. The Seminoles don't play often east of the Mississippi River.
"Oh my goodness," he said. "Let me just say this. I'll be waking up to go to the game."
...Here is what Bowden had to say when asked for a scouting report on CU:
"Just a good solid football team. When you play another part of the country like this, it's really hard to evaluate their talent because here, we know all the kids. We knew all the Clemson boys. We knew all the UAB boys. Now you go play out there and it's hard to grade their personnel. All I know is they look like a very solid football team and they look good enough to beat you."
...Bowden said he expects starting tailback Antone Smith to be ready to play after suffering a concussion last week.

Bah... cut him some slack. Dude cranked out two blog posts in just as many hours. Its not like these are going in the paper... personally, I'd rather have more content with a few brain farts than less content that has NO ERRORS whatsoever. That's just me... keep 'em coming Kyle!

Agreed....down here in no man's land, any info on the Buffs is appreciated. Keep us up to speed on recruiting....

Kyle, don't let Bowden fool you. He can stay up past 7:30. He just has to get permission from his wife Ann. :)

I never said I didn't like having the info flow. I was just pointing out the Typo. The slipping comment was in jest. I'll include an obligatory smilie next time.
