Buffs going bowling

Wow, what a difference one game makes. Colorado beat Colorado State to open the season and suddenly people are projecting the Buffs in a bowl game.
Ivan Maisel and Mark Schlabach of ESPN.com updated their bowl projections Tuesday. (Kind of a ridiculous thing to be doing at this point if you ask me, but then I'm just some scrub in Boulder).
Anyway, Maisel has the Buffs as the Big 12 Conference's No. 6 team playing Northwestern in the Insight.com Bowl. (I could live with that as a bowl trip).
And Schlabach has the Buffs as the Big 12 No. 8 team playing Eastern Carolina in the Texas Bowl.
God wouldn't that be a treat. With CU's history of traveling poorly in support of its team, I would imagine a crowd of a few hundred or so showing up in Fort Worth (ick) to watch this.
Maybe it's just me but Eastern Carolina and Fort Worth aren't big selling points. Why not play Army in Iraq why they're at it?

Let's just all hope (real hard too) that we have the luxury of being picky and debating about bowl games this year....

Hey it's a bowl to build on. A sure sign of great things to come. Any word on Sipili? If we can get him back and J fly later what a difference that will make!!Go Buffs!!
