Bowl gifts for troops
Posted November 30, 2007
If you can't go to a bowl game, maybe you should send a soldier.
I was doing a little research on the Independence Bowl website and noticed they are making it possible for those who can't attend the bowl game to purchase tickets for members of the military and their families.
The Buffs look to be headed to Shreveport, La., for the Dec. 30 game against a team from the Southeastern Conference, possibly Alabama or South Carolina. None of this is set in stone, yet.
Just something I thought I'd put out there for your consideration. Seems like a pretty good idea, especially around the holidays.

Great idea Kyle. Problem is I don't know if its a reward for a soldier to have to go to another war zone like Shreveport.

Is Shreveport that bad? I was thinking of going to the game to cheer on the Buffs.
