Offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich on how quarterback Nick Nelson took the news that he won't be the starter:

“Nick’s a great kid. I love Nick, and he took it probably exactly how a competitive guy, who is still going to compete, would. He was obviously disappointed. But we’re going to need that guy.”
