Check out Bizzy Biz
Posted August 9, 2007
Walk-on redshirt freshman Austin Bisnow aspires to be a pop star in the mold of Justin Timberlake.
Bisnow, who is second on the depth chart at longsnapper, has been in love with music as long as he can remember. He learned to play five different instruments -- piano, drums, guitar, flute, piccolo -- growing up in the Washington D.C. area.
His first loves are singing and dancing.
In the third grade, some of his friends began shortening his last name and calling him Biz. "Then when I got here people started calling me Bizzy or The Biz or B-I-Double Z-Y, " he said.
And that led to the name of his web site. http://www.bizzybiz.net/
He began to get serious about making music six years ago and he recorded a few songs. He latest effort is a collection of 15 tracks, but it won't be released for a few more weeks.
"I'm really excited about it," Bisnow said. "I'm trying to get it on radio stations."
You can check out his older stuff on his site, where he goes by Austin Paul -- his first and middle names. There is link on the site that will connect you to a list of songs.
Bisnow said he wrote all the songs on his new CD and none of the instruments are pre-recorded. He plays the piano on some tracks and a few also feature a rapper from the DC area, who goes by Stan Wade. He is actually former Washington Redskin Tre Johnson.
Bisnow said he is trying to get away from rapping, which he used to do in the infant stages of what he hopes will turn into a successful music career.
"I started like that six years ago, but I'm kind of steering away from that," he said. "I'm really finding my voice and that is singing in a John Legend or Justin Timberlake style."
Bisnow competed last year in CU Idol, the campus version of American Idol and finished in the top-five, he said. About 40 of his teammates came to cheer for him.
Only a few of his fellow Buffs give him a hard time, he said. Most are supportive.
"Not any more than anybody else does for what they're doing," he said. "I mean, kids dish it and kids take it, too."
If you're wondering about Bisnow's background in football. He played fullback and longsnapper in high school and was the special teams MVP his senior season. He also lettered in track.

This music is truly horrible. Coach should have him run bleachers for the entire day and make him throw away his drum machine.
